Huddersfield Town linked with transfer for gigantic 6'9" striker who scored in play-off final

Huddersfield Town are believed to be ready to make a move for giant Solihull Moors striker Kyle Hudlin, who scored the opening goal but ended up on the losing side in the National League play-off final against Grimsby Town on Sunday afternoon.

We're not in the habit of leading off on a player's physical attributes but given he stands 6'9" and is English footballer's tallest professional outfielder, we are willing to make an exception. The 21 year old has scored 14 goals in 61 appearances for Moors, but has never played above non-league level.

Hudlin was linked with a number of EFL clubs last summer, Town included, and Football Insider report that the club are now in 'advanced talks' to sign the centre forward.

Town have enjoyed success signing players from non-league football over the years, with Joe Lolley stepping up from Kidderminster Harriers in 2014 before going on to play in the Premier League, while Josh Koroma and Sorba Thomas have been the club's big breakthrough players of the past two seasons.

If a deal were done, Hudlin may be an ideal candidate to follow in Thomas and Jon Russell's shoes by progressing through the B team to begin with as he got to grips with life at Championship level.

The Terriers are yet to make a signing this summer but have also been linked with Cheltenham Town centre-back Will Boyle - a Huddersfield Town academy graduate - and promising 21-year-old Halifax Town defender Jesse Debrah.
