Michael Beale is closing in on summer signings number eight and nine as he continues what he admitted would be one of the biggest ever rebuilds in the history of Rangers this summer. It’s also cost a fair few quid.

Beale will want to ensure the team is exactly how he wants it and everyone up to speed for the competitive action getting under way. Speaking towards the end of last season, the Englishman admitted: “There’s no restrictions on budget. There is money to spend in the summer and it’s a good amount for a Rangers manager compared to what I’ve seen in recent years.”

On top of the cash already set aside for Beale by the Ibrox board, they have banked around £2.5million from the sale of Antonio Colak to Italian side Parma and could top that up by £500,000 if Scott Wright’s move to Turkish side Pendikspor.
