How much Bojan Miovski transfer will bank Aberdeen FC as Girona deal laid bare

Aberdeen expect to land a club record fee for Bojan Miovski and the total could rise to over £6m.

The Dons remain in talks with Girona and a deal is expected to be finalised. Aberdeen were yesterday waiting for the Spanish side to lodge a third bid. Girona had put a guaranteed £4.2 million on the table but Aberdeen were looking for major add ons. The Spanish side - who are part of the City Group - are expected to put in a number of add-ons worth about £3 million and a sell-on. There are several other European clubs who are also interested in last season’s 26 goal striker but Miovski wants to move to Girona and for a crack at the Champions League.

The forward who was signed from MTK for just over £500,000 two years ago would see Aberdeen turn over a serious profit. The deal is eventually likely to eclipse Calvin Ramsay’s sale to Liverpool and is higher than Scott McKenna’s sale to Nottingham Forest.

Aberdeen are already looking to re-invest that money with £860,000 set to be used to complete the signing of Finnish winger Topi Keskinen from HJK. They are also keen to bring in a defender. Fulham’s Scotland under-21 defender Ibane Bowat has been targeted but has a number of European options.

Austrian sides LASK and Red Bull Salzburg are keen along with Italian giants AC Milan. Bowat hasn’t closed the door on a potential move to Pittodrie but it looks a longer shot with the wages on offer elsewhere.
