How many Team GB athletes are there at the Paris Olympics 2024?

Team GB's class of 2024 is geared up for the Olympic Games in Paris kicking off this Friday (July 26). Great Britain is the only nation to be represented at every modern Olympic Games.

Team GB has won a gold medal at every edition of the Summer Olympics stretching back to 1896, an unprecedented record. Now the Paris 2024 team is aiming make its own mark on the biggest stage in sport.

All eyes are on France as the countdown to the start of the Olympic Games ticks down. From Friday (July 25), over 200 Olympic delegations from all countries, cultures and sports will come together for Paris 2024 - here's how many from the UK are over there.

In total, there are 327 Team GB athletes taking part in the games.. The British Olympic Association has one of its biggest cohorts hit the French capital this summer, just 49 athletes fewer than Tokyo 2020.

And for only the second time in Team GB's history, there will be more women competing than men at Paris, with 155 male and 172 female athletes.

There are 169 returning Team GB Olympians - with 74 of those having already won medals at previous games. And 33 of the 74 are not just returning medallists but Olympic champions as well.

Adam Peaty and Max Whitlock are the most decorated of our team when it comes to Olympic titles, both of them having a hat-trick of Olympic crowns to their names. Duncan Scott is the most decorated at a single Games after winning four medals at Tokyo 2020.
