How Man City should line-up vs Leicester City in Premier League fixture

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola will be balancing risk and reward on Saturday as the Blues host Leicester City in the Premier League.

City are currently in the midst of a tight schedule and will face another five fixtures before the end of April. Today, marks the Blues' last league fixture before they take on Arsenal in what could be a title-deciding contest on April 26.

Guardiola will be fully aware that City face a tough trip to Bayern Munich on Tuesday night, even though they hold a 3-0 advantage going into the Champions League second leg. So, the Catalan boss may want to rotate but not wish to risk their chances of picking up a crucial three points in the title race.

With both factors needing to be considered, MEN Sport's City writers have outlined who they think should start against Dean Smith's team.

There seems little point in risking Kevin De Bruyne for this one when everyone else is in such good form. Guardiola said that his removal from the team on Tuesday was tactical, but it did look a nasty injury.

I'd also give Jack Grealish a rest after he has started so many games recently, and bring back Julian Alvarez who has a knack of finding space in front of goal against teams that defend deep. Alvarez and Erling Haaland together should be too strong for Leicester to cope with.

Incorporating Alvarez and Riyad Mahrez would mean Bernardo Silva pushing wide to the left, but the versatile player is so good he can play anywhere on the pitch. At the back, Kyle Walker and Aymeric Laporte seem sensible picks to give some of the defence the chance to put their feet up amid a busy schedule.

City haven't got much room to manoeuvre in the title
