How Man City should line up vs Bayern Munich in second pre-season friendly

Kyle Walker will be available for selection for Manchester City's second pre-season friendly against Bayern Munich on Wednesday - as talks between the two sides continue over his future.

Bayern want to sign Walker, but City want the England right-back to stay, with Pep Guardiola confirming that he will fight for the 'irreplaceable' defender this summer. As talks between City and Bayern continue over a potential transfer, Walker is set to feature in Tokyo on Wednesday as he remains in City's plans.

Walker captained City in the 5-3 win over Yokohama, where every player in the 25-man squad apart from goalkeeper Ederson and midfielder Kevin De Bruyne featured across both halves. De Bruyne returned to training on Tuesday, so could feature for the first time this season against Bayern, as he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury.

Pep Guardiola will also have to decide which players start after using two separate outfield teams against Yokohama.

Guardiola gave short shrift to the idea that he wouldn't play Kyle Walker despite talks with Bayern over the player, and it makes little sense to leave him out. I'd give John Stones and Ruben Dias a first half together here, with Manu Akanji out on the left.

Kalvin Phillips is worth another start and Bernardo Silva can come in alongside Mateo Kovacic in midfield. Oscar Bobb looked bright in the second half against Yokohama F Marinos and he should get the opportunity to see if he can make an impact from the start.
