"How is that fair?!": Coldplay fans fume over 'massive' Ticketmaster queues and tickets on resale sites for thousands

Coldplay fans have been left frustrated and angry after trying to secure tickets for the recently revealed 2025 UK concerts.

The iconic British band shared the news earlier this month that their world tour will be making stops at UK venues next summer - Hull and London.

This morning (Thursday, 26 September) a limited number of presale tickets went on sale via Ticketmaster for the shows which encompasses two at Hull’s Craven Park Stadium and six at London Wembley next August. A general sale will also take place tomorrow morning.

Coldplay's Music of the Spheres World Tour is scheduled to end in the UK on August 31, at Wembley Stadium in London. The stage show has been ongoing since 2022 and has been performed in the United States, Europe, Asia and Australia to name a few.

Fans who secured a spot in this morning's presale received an email with details about how the ticketing would work and were provided with an early access code. However, when many logged onto Ticketmaster this morning and were greeted with long queues.

In some cases, Coldplay tickets for the Hull and London dates are being resold on secondary ticketing websites for hundreds of pounds more. While some fans reported having to pay between £100 to £200 for tickets on Ticketmaster, others shared screenshots of prices on Viagogo which ranged from £594 to £1,330 in some cases for the Hull shows.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, many fans expressed their disappointment over how the presale was being held and tickets appearing on resale sites within minutes while many still sat in virtual queues with hundreds of thousands others.
