How behind closed doors game shaped Man City transfer plans

Savio will be hoping for another opportunity to impress tonight when Brazil take on Spain in an international friendly.

That included a dazzling performance at the City Football Academy last summer as Girona warmed up for their league campaign with a camp and some friendlies in Manchester. While the first team were away on their pre-season tour, Savio left a lasting impression on those watching a friendly with Sheffield United in a game that was recorded with the footage available to be seen afterwards.

Savio tormented his full-back all game and was unlucky to see an effort in the first half bounce off the inside of the post and back into the gloves of the goalkeeper. There was no stopping him in the second half though as he stood his man up before placing a pinpoint finish to the far post for the first goal in a 2-0 win over the Premier
