It's wet and wild out there today, but that won't stop punters braving the elements on a big day of racing action.

There is much to look forward to on both sides of the Irish sea as the countdown to the Cheltenham Festival continues.

It's day one of the Dublin Racing Festival at Leopardstown and closer to home it's Scottish Trials day at Musselburgh.

Leopardstown's two-day meeting has rapidly installed itself as a major stopping point on the road to Cheltenham in March.

It's got enough stand-alone quality to match anything in the calendar and there are eight Grade 1 races across two days.
