Horse racing results LIVE plus tips and best bets from Doncaster, Ludlow, Kempton and Newcastle

In a dramatic last 24 hours for racing with champion jockey Oisin Murphy banned yesterday for 14 months for alcohol and Covid breaches, we’ll be back on the courses to follow the live action as it happens from Doncaster and Ludlow over the jumps and at Newcastle on the flat.

We’ll have all the latest from Punchestown who stage a quality meeting, as well as a preview of tonight’s racing at Kempton and all the fallout from that ruling by the BHA as it happens. Our feature race is unusually the first race on the card, the Grade 3 Quevega Mares Hurdle (1.00) at Punchestown which sees former Triumph Hurdle winner Burning Victory stake a Cheltenham Festival claim. The Willie Mullins trained mare has yet to win over hurdles since that day in March 2020 - where Goshen infamously unseated at the last to give her the race - but she has won twice on the flat in France and was also a very promising third at Leopardstown over Christmas behind Klassical Dream and Flooring Porter.

The feature race in the UK is at Doncaster (3.25) where a smart veteran’s chase sees Venetia William’s useful Belami Des Pictons take on last year’s Scottish National second Dingo Dollar, trained by Kelso’s Sandy Thomson. Champion jump jockey Brian Hughes has four rides declared here - Cartonne (1.42), Forpaddytheplumber (2.15), Gredin (4.00), Spectacular Genius (5.10). He’s won with over 22 per cent of his rides this month.

Ludlow also has a punt friendly card with a decent handicap chase which pits Colin Tizzard’s classy chaser Slate House against nine rivals, as well as an interesting handicap hurdle headed up by Kim Bailey’s likeable grey Mr Grey Sky (3.00.)

We'll be here for every furlong and you can follow all the action as well as the latest odds,
