Horrifying video shows van 'driving at people in the street' as police make attempted murder arrest

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a van was allegedly driven into a group of people in the early hours of this morning.

Emergency services were scrambled to Market Street, Westhoughton, at 1.36am following the incident, which Greater Manchester Police (GMP) believe to be 'domestic related'. Miraculously, no one was injured.

Photographs taken from the scene show shards of glass in the road and a bin tipped on its side, while a video circulating on social media appears to show a black van swerving towards pedestrians.
