Holly Willoughby 'honoured' as she shares career news hours after ITV This Morning award win

Holly Willoughby has ignored the booing backlash from the National Television Awards to share some exciting career news with her millions of followers. The This Morning presenter returned to Instagram on Friday (October 14) after last sharing a gushing message about the ITV daytime show's win at the annual showbiz ceremony.

The programme saw off competition from Loose Women, The Chase and The Repair Shop to scoop the gong in the Daytime category at the NTAs for a fifth year in a row.

A stunned Phillip put his head in his hands and appeared to hold back tears after This Morning was called as the winner while Holly looked equally as surprised and pleased as she immediately hugged her co-star and off-screen 'bestie'. But while their fellow TV stars applauded it has been reported that the crowd around them reportedly booed - and it was picked up by viewers watching the glitzy event live on ITV. Scott Bryan, a TV critic and broadcaster, tweeted: "A source at the ceremony says that there were some boos in the room when This Morning won an #NTAs, but boos stopped during the speech."
