"His representatives were..." - Michael Bridge drops claim involving £20m Crystal Palace target

Crystal Palace target Emmanuel Dennis has been offered to clubs for £20m, says Michael Bridge.

However, according to the Sky Sports reporter, no one wants to pay that amount of money for the Watford attacker.

As per The Sun, both Palace and Brentford are interested in signing Dennis following his impressive season at Vicarage Road.

While the Hornets went on to get relegated, individually, the 2021/22 campaign is one the Nigerian can be pleased with.

In 35 appearances, he scored 10 goals to finish the season as the club’s top scorer, making him a successful bit of business following his move from Club Brugge last year. It took his career total to 46.

Speaking about Dennis, former Watford manager Claudio Ranieri said: “A very talented player. He’s fast, has good skill, always runs straight to the goal – I love these kinds of players.”

Bridge has told GIVEMESPORT that Dennis’ people informed clubs at the end of last season that the 24-year-old would cost £20m this summer.

Speaking to GMS, the Sky Sports reporter said: “His representatives were talking to clubs at the end of last season and saying he’ll be worth 20 million in the summer, and not one club wanted to pay 20 million for Emmanuel Dennis, so it’ll be interesting to see what he does go for.”

In this day and age, it does not sound too far-fetched. After all, last term, he proved that he can score goals after reaching double figures in a poor Watford side.

Dennis is also a very good dribbler. Over the last year, the Nigeria international has ranked in the 89th percentile for dribbles completed among attacking midfielders and wingers (via FBref).
