Hidden Netflix horror film viewers are calling the ‘most disturbing’ they’ve ever seen

Netflix viewers are raving about a hidden found-footage horror film on the platform, described as one of the "most disturbing" things they've ever watched.

Those looking for a good scare on the streamer can find picking out the perfect film to satiate their cravings a tricky task. However, a film that has so far flown under the radar has captured the attention of horror fans - and it's getting rave reviews.

The film follows a mother as she rekindles her relationship with her daughter who has been in foster care after an undisclosed incident in her past. The synopsis reads: "Six years ago, Li Ronan was cursed after breaking a religious taboo. Now, she must protect her daughter from the consequences of her actions."

As they try to rebuild their lives together, supernatural occurrences begin to get in the way and Ronan realises she will have to revisit the trauma of her past to save her daughter. An interesting element of the film is that it calls for viewer participation, which only adds to the scares.

The film in question, Incantation, was Taiwan's highest-grossing horror film of 2022 and landed on Netflix in July of that year. Its release on the platform prompted TikToker @notjustbored_ to post a video challenging people to watch it without getting scared which amassed a whopping 13 million views and tens of thousands of comments, such as "I could barely even finish it" and "I got jump scared so hard I dropped my phone."

One viewer called it "hands down... the most disturbing movie that I've ever
