Hibs to slash away allocations as sickened club acts after group reveal disgust at Rangers fans' behaviour

Hibs WILL be reducing travelling fan allocations at Easter Road as the club released a bombshell statement.

The capital club have also vowed they will be taking FURTHER action just hours after leading supporters' group Hibs.net revealed they would be looking for answers from the club after Rangers fans 'crossed a further line' during the Scottish Cup quarter-final showdown between the two sides in the capital.

HIbs CEO Ben Kensell threatened to cut the ticket allocations handed out to Celtic and Rangers just a couple of weeks ago with both teams allocated the whole south stand. City rivals Hearts had already cut away allocations at Tynecastle and while no set number has been issued, the club will be slashing the number of travelling fans in their home ground. Hibs have condemned the 'abhorrent behaviour and chanting' by supporters in Scottish football while hitting out at the unacceptable conduct in the game – whether that be the 'use of pyrotechnics, sectarian chanting, missiles chucked on the park or through other actions'.

A hard hitting club statement reads: "Hibernian FC condemns the abhorrent behaviour and chanting made by some supporters in Scottish football. Over recent years supporters’ unacceptable conduct has become rife in Scotland whether that be through the use of pyrotechnics, sectarianism, objects being thrown onto the field of play or through other actions. This is simply not good enough.

"Understanding that the behaviour of certain sections of Hibernian FC’s own support has not been good enough at times this season, the Club has been taking the strongest possible action against those who behave in an unacceptable manner, working with Police Scotland and colleagues at other clubs.
