Hibs fans rip down Union Jack in Luzern as Lee Johnson's side fly the flag in Europa Conference League
Hibs fans prepared for their Europa Conference League clash by tearing down a Union Jack in Switzerland.
Lee Johnson's side are in action against FC Luzern as they look to take a step closer to the group stage and book a money-spinning showdown with Aston Villa in the next round – having taken a 3-1 lead into the second leg of the showdown. Around 1000 Hibs fans were in attendance for the game – but scenes before the game have circulated on social media that sparked criticism and compliments.
A Union Jack was spotted by supporters of the Scottish Premiership side above a bar in the Swiss city, and a clip online has shown a group of punters with a Hibs banner removing the flag from its position. The group can be heard loudly chanting 'Hibees, Hibees' as they take down the flag from above the bar while the crowd below applauds on their antics – responding with the Leith side's chant.
