Hibs caretaker provides blunt two-word response over key star's Easter Road absence following Livingston loss

Hibs caretaker boss David Gray insists his side aren't feeling the impact of Cambuslang Kevin Nisbet being ruled out injured.

The Scotland international will be out until later this year after suffering a nasty knee injury back in February.

It's been a calamitous season for the Easter Road side, who have sacked both Jack Ross and Shaun Maloney as manager this term.

2016 Scottish Cup-winning legend Gray is in charge for the rest of this campaign and oversaw a 1-0 loss to Livingston in their latest bottom six Premiership match.

They won 1-0 the week previous at St Mirren and the interim gaffer insists the Cambuslang man's absence isn't hurting them.

When asked about whether Hibs were missing Nisbet, Gray replied: "Definitely not. We won last week and confidence was high during the week in training.

“The bigger concern would be if we were dominating the ball and not creating chances. We need to be far more clinical at the top end of the pitch.

“You can’t be defending for the whole game. We’ll be in on Monday and work on finishing in training.

“A lot of it is confidence and when you train it has to be with a desire to be as good as you can be and hope it comes off in games."
