Hearts and Hibs Europa Conference League draw groups revealed as danger lurks with big hitters
Scottish Premiership rivals Hearts and Hibs have found out their potential opponents for Monday's Europa Conference League third round qualifying draw.
And danger lies in wait for both sides of the Ednburgh divide with the Jambos potentially facing off against Fenerbahce, Brugge or Twente. And the task appears tall for Hibs as Lee Johnson's men could be up against Gent, Cluj or Viktoria Plzen if they see off Inter Club of Andorra over two legs. The rivals were expecting a tasty challenge after both missed out on the banker of group stage football that Aberdeen own after finishing third in the Scottish Premiership. Barry Robson's men will be in the group stage of the Conference League, at worst, if they fail to reach the Europa League through the playoff route.
And Hearts and Hibs will find out their fate at 1pm today with both in the draw which will see supporters likely earn a thrilling away trip even if the tie itself is fraught with danger. Hearts were in the group stage of the Conference League last season and earned six points with a pair of wins over Riga but were unable to overcome eventual finalists Fiorentina and Istanbul.
