Hearts and Hibs LIVE Conference League draw as Premier League and Serie A sides best avoided

They both have a third round qualifier to negotiate first, but Hearts and Hibs will learn who lies in wait should they reach the Europa Conference League playoff round.

Hibs recovered from a second round first leg shocker against Inter Club d'Escaldes to set up a meeting with Swiss side Luzern who travel to Easter Road on Thursday.

Hearts enter the competition at this stage and it's a trip to Norway for them to take on Rosenborg. They narrowly saw off Crusaders in the last round and the Jambos will feel they have a good chance of progressing.

The playoff round is where things get tricky, however. Neither of the capital clubs are seeded as things stand and will be doing well to get a favourable draw.

For Hibs, a reunion with John McGinn is a possibility with Aston Villa in their group of seeded opponents.

Hearts could also be up against some familiar faces. The played Fiorentina twice in last season's group stage before La Viola went all the way to the final, which they lost to West Ham. They are in Group 4 and a return to Florence would be a welcome trip for the thousands of Jam Tarts who made the trip last year.
