Harry Souttar at centre of Rangers transfer 'interest' as Michael Beale looks to win race for Leicester defender

Harry Souttar is believed to have interest from Rangers as Michael Beale looks to take his rebuild into double figures.

The Ibrox side have had their hands full with a busy week including fallout from an opening day Premiership loss to Kilmarnock and a Champions League third round qualifier with Servette. But they have also been focusing on transfer business too that has included plenty of exit chat, with Glen Kamara nearing an exit and Fashion Sakala leaving for Saudi Arabia.

Incoming chat has gone quiet since the arrival of Jose Cifuentes made it nine for the window but talkSPORT now claim that brother of current Rangers defender John Souttar is a target. Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers brought him to the Foxes in January this year before his exit from the King Power Stadium and the Australian international now finds himself in the Championship after their relegation from England's top flight. He is a known Light Blues fan and has SPFL experience with Dundee United and Ross County.

The broadcaster claim that Beale and co "are interested in taking Harry Souttar on loan". However, they aren't the only ones, as "other clubs also monitoring the situation".
