Harry Maguire believes that new Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag will have a fantastic instant impact on a wounded dressing room.

United are looking to regroup both on and off the pitch following a dismal season. The club finished with their worst-ever points total in Premier League history, but diving deeper exposes a host of problems.

Indeed, 12 defeats contributed to them finishing sixth, four places down from their 2020/21 campaign. And a 9-0 aggregate defeat to Liverpool plus a 4-0 defeat to Brighton are only two of several low points.

However, as Man Utd‘s current chapter closes, another one opens with Ten Hag replacing Ralf Rangnick as the manager.

The Dutchman has a big task on his hands to turn his new club around but arrives from Ajax with an exciting reputation.

Maguire is one player whose form slipped last season and he has backed Ten Hag to help him improve.
