Harry Kane to Manchester United heats up as Tottenham chiefs would 'accept' £100m transfer offer

England star Harry Kane could be coming to the end of his career at Tottenham with the club willing to take £100million for his services, according to reports.

Kane has spent his entire career in the white half of north London, blossoming in the Premier League for the past 10 seasons and becoming the third top scorer in the league's history - just four strikes behind second-placed Wayne Rooney and 57 goals from breaking Alan Shearer's 17-year long record of 260 goals.

The caveat to Kane's incredible form and loyalty to Tottenham is that he has yet to win a major trophy in his career; the Lilywhites are not quite the global powerhouse that Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea or Liverpool are, and as he enters his thirties, the star will know that it really is now or never if he is to move on from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in order to win silverware.

Having recently broken Jimmy Greaves' record to become the club's top scorer in their history, Kane has achieved all he can at his boyhood club - including a Champions League final run. But according to The Times, Spurs chief Daniel Levy is willing to take an up-front payment of £100million to sell Kane - with United waiting in the wings to swoop him up.

The Red Devils have had to rely on Burnley flop Wout Weghorst to lead their line so far this season, and whilst the Dutchman hasn't faired too badly, his lack of goals has begun to overcrowd his overall play. The club are desperate for an elite striker; of which Kane fits the bill perfectly.

The England star enters the final year of his contract at the turn of July, and thus Tottenham could be willing to sell him - albeit with a one up payment, most likely to garner the funds to replace him.
