'Harder to do’ - Micah Richards makes Man City claim as Pep Guardiola closes on historic feat

Micah Richards believes Pep Guardiola's current Manchester City side could be considered the "most complete" team of the Premier League era, though is unsure of whether they can be labelled the best.

Weighing in on how the 2023/24 Sky Blues squad will be viewed in years to come compared to other great Premier League teams, Richards told The Rest Is Football Podcast: "It’s tough, isn’t it? Because you’ve got the Chelsea team that conceded a ridiculously low amount of goals with John Terry. The Invincibles, of course.

"I think Man City and the way they’ve changed the game in playing new positions, with full-backs and centre-backs stepping into midfield, are the most complete team - but I still think going a season unbeaten takes some doing and it might not be done ever again," added the ex-City right-back. "I’ve sort of got two answers, but I’d say Arsenal’s is probably harder to do."
