Hannibal Mejbri explains why he left Manchester United to join Sevilla on loan
Hannibal Mejbri was sold on the 'Sevilla project' and his Manchester United teammates advised him to make the switch because of the atmosphere their fans create. Hannibal, 20, has agreed to join Sevilla on loan for the remainder of the season and the Spaniards have the option to sign him permanently for £17million.
United have inserted a buy-back clause should Sevilla eventually sign Hannibal permanently. There has also been a suggestion that aspect of the deal was added late in negotiations but it's understood INEOS did not intervene in talks, contrary to a report.
Hannibal started consecutive games for United in September, but opportunities were limited after that and the youngster turned down a call-up to the Africa Cup of Nations to address his future.

Everton also showed an interest in signing Hannibal, but he opted to join Sevilla instead and he explained the reasons why in his unveiling press conference.
"I like Sevilla's project and I think I can help the team to be better this season. I hope we can advance together and do something important in what's left," Hannibal said.
"I have played eleven games this season, I have trained very hard in Manchester and I feel ready to play as soon as the coach decides. I feel good, without injuries and I hope I can stay that way.
"To be honest, I think I can help in any position. As a footballer, the most important thing for me is to play. I can play in any position, although I have to say my preference, it would be like 8 or like 10, in the centre of the field.
