'Hands up' - Pep Guardiola sends Man City players a message over team selection

Pep Guardiola has told his Manchester City players to put their hands up and tell if they are feeling tired as the games continue to pile up in their hunt for the treble.

City are on a run of 15 games in 51 days ahead of the final afternoon of the Premier League season, but there is little room for rotation as they try and hold off Arsenal to win a third successive Premier League title.

Guardiola's side have also booked their place in the FA Cup final against Manchester United on June 3 and if they beat Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final they will end their season in Istanbul on June 10, potentially with a shot at an historic treble.

The relentless nature of this stage of the season is always difficult and Guardiola admits he is feeling jaded himself, but he's confident his players have the mental strength to overcome their own tiredness.

"I’m tired, it's normal, but not in my legs like the players. There is one more month and a week for sure, we fight for two weeks more," he said.

"We play this way for six or seven years, we are used to it. It's not the only time we've play seven times in one month. It’s the best way to live.

"If a player is tired, then someone else plays. We are not tired, if you have positive thoughts you are not tired. With just six games left, we have to recover and go for it. If one player is tired then hands up and if not hands up you're ready to play for your mates."
