Hamilton Accies were due to give a team a doing, says hat-trick hero

Kevin O’Hara says Hamilton were always likely to give a team a doing after bagging a hat-trick in Saturday’s 5-0 win over Stirling Albion.

Euan Henderson also helped himself to a double before seeing a late penalty saved by Binos keeper Blair Currie, before visiting sub Dale Hilson was shown a straight red card inside stoppage time, on a day to forget for Darren Young’s side.

“I think the two of us worked really well.”

O’Hara ended a scoring drought in style, having last netted in a 2-2 draw against Stirling at Forthbank on September 2, and says hard work paid off.

“I’m delighted to get the hat-trick,” he said.

“Being critical of myself, I’ve been missing a lot of
