Hamilton Accies stars living it up in Ibiza after Championship play-off final success

Hamilton Accies are living it up in Ibiza this week as they celebrate going up to the Championship.

The squad are on an all-expenses-paid trip to the Spanish island as a reward for the Championship play-off success over Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Sunday, where Accies enjoyed a fantastic 5-3 aggregate success to secure an immediate return to Scotland's second tier.

Twelve of John Rankin's charges jetted off on Sunday night to stay at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel, courtesy of the club's new owner Seref Zengin, and have been toasting their success at the likes of celebrity hotspot O Beach during their stay.

Two-goal play-off hero Kevin O'Hara - who also netted a 47-yard wonder strike in the first leg of the final - and the likes of fellow scorer Lewis Smith, defender Dylan McGowan and ex-Rangers winger Jake Hastie have been pictured letting their hair down.

While the players soak up the Mediteranean sun, gaffer John Rankin has remained in Scotland to crack on with planning the club's summer signings.

Earlier, we revealed Accies are aiming high for their return to the Championship with the club keen to bring back former Hamilton heroes Greg Docherty and Connor Smith, while they are also due to hold talks with Motherwell midfielder Barry Maguire this week.
