Hamilton 2 Alloa 1: Last-gasp winner stings Wasps as Accies stay joint-top

Hamilton Accies stayed joint-top of League One after super sub Joe McGlynn fired home a stoppage time winner to sink Alloa.

Euan Henderson's second goal of the season gave Accies the lead moments into the second half, before Luke Donnelly's leveller after 69 minutes looked to have earner former Accies boss Brian Rice a point for his Wasps.

But three minutes into added-on time, McGlynn got a flick on a Kyle MacDonald cross to find the bottom corner and keep Accies unbeaten with five wins in six games.

Accies stay level on points with Falkirk, who also grabbed a late winner at home to Queen of the South.

John Rankin made four changes from the side that knocked Coleraine out of the SPFL Trust Trophy in Northern Ireland last weekend.

Goalkeeper Ryan Fulton returned from a long-term thigh injury, making his first appearance since a 0-0 draw at Arbroath in May, at the expense of August's League One player of the month, Jamie Smith.
