Grinning Kyogo drops Celtic future hint as he touches down in Tokyo with unfinished business on his mind

Kyogo says he's fuelled by unfinished Champions League business after touching down in Tokyo alongside his Japan teammates.

The PFA Scotland Player of the Year fired 34 goals in 50 appearances last season to earn a recall to the Japan squad and he is set to get a chance to feature alongside Celtic teammates Reo Hatate and Daizen Maeda in their upcoming summer internationals. Evidently delighted to be back on the international scene after a spell out in the cold, the smiling assassin couldn't hide his grin as he landed in his homeland with teammate Hatate at his back.

In a clip aired on Fuji TV and shared widely on Japanese social media, Kyogo and Hatate are seen arriving at the airport and both gave brief interviews to local media. And while Kyogo says he was delighted to win a Treble, their failure to make a serious splash in the Champions League has him itching to do better next season.

Kyogo said: "I was happy to win the treble this season, but it didn't go well in the CL, so next season I want to work together with everyone to move in the right direction and try to win as many as possible."

He'll have a new manager next season after Ange Postecoglou left Parkhead for Tottenham but the news wasn't fazing him or Hatate. The midfielder added: "I think I've gained confidence every game and my game has become more wide-ranging, but I also feel I could have done more, so I'll be well prepared for next season."
