Tyson Fury drops 'show-stopping' hint as search for next fight continues

Tyson Fury has posted another teaser to fans as he continues to search for a fight.

The ‘Gypsy King’ was last in the ring against Derek Chisora in December but has since seen talks with both Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua fail to result in a fight. Promoter Frank Warren has stated that Fury is targeting a return in September but his next opponent is still unknown.

There have been various heavyweights touted as the next challenger for Fury’s WBC crown. Fury recently hinted that a ‘big announcement’ was imminent and has posted another suggestion that he could be on the verge of announcing his next fight.

“The @wbcboxing Heavyweight king, can't wait till my next fight. I’ve been training daily from Christmas trying to get a fight. Tried many fighters & have had no luck but that wont keep me down,” Fury wrote on Instagram.

“I'm blessed every day I wake up! I know God loves me! & everything will workout the way it should as it always does. Can’t wait for you all to see what I’ve got coming for you guys, it’s show-stopping.”

WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman has insisted that the organisation will not order a mandatory defence of Fury’s title, as the WBC attempts to make an eliminator between Andy Ruiz Jr and Deontay Wilder. Meanwhile, unified heavyweight champion Usyk is preparing to face mandatory challenger Daniel Dubois, while ‘AJ’ is in talks over a rematch with Dillian Whyte in August as he continues his rebuild under new coach Derrick James.
