Green Brigade reveal plans for Rangers blockbuster as Celtic ultras see off their heroes and send appeal to fans

The Green Brigade have urged Celtic supporters to make a beeline for Parkhead on Saturday to give their heroes a rousing send off before their title blockbuster with Rangers.

Brendan Rodgers' side are expected to depart from the Celtic Way on Saturday afternoon before an overnight hotel stay on the eve of their defining visit to Ibrox. The Green Brigade in previous years have descended on Lennoxtown to show their support but have asked punters to head to Celtic Park this time around. Celtic will travel to Ibrox for one final time without fans but punters aim to show the love before a ball is kicked. An image uploaded to their social media page read: "See off the team. Onto victory once more, don't give up on the dream."

Celtic will be without their most ardent followers at Ibrox and their appeal comes hours after they were called out by Livingston over what the Lions state was the use of a banner which had been refused before kick-off. It read: “There were a number of issues which arose before and during Sunday’s match with Celtic which we, as a club, feel we need to address.

Prior to this fixture, a visiting supporters group called ‘The Green Brigade’, via the Celtic SLO, requested a tifo display in all three stands allocated to the Celtic support and to have a banner displayed along the front of the East Stand. The banner was to read ‘You Play for Us and We’ll Sing for You’. This request was refused and instead, permission was granted for a Tifo and banner display in the South Stand only."
