Forecasters predict that strong winds overnight may have an impact on travel. There may be some delays to road, rail air and ferry transport.

There may also be delays for high-side vehicles on exposes routes and bridges and some people may experience power cuts.

Rain showers are predicted to fall as the strong westerly winds hit, making for a gloomy outlook over the next two days in Greater Manchester. The temperature will dip to freezing in the early hours of tomorrow morning as heavier rain showers are set to hit.
