Tuesday's hour-by-hour weather forecast for Greater Manchester
The long Easter weekend was a scorcher; warm and dry, with temperatures topping 20C across Manchester.
The rain is set to return to the region this week, although temperatures will remain warm, hitting 16C on Thursday and with lows of 7C overnight. According to the Met Office, Mancunians can expect to wake up to a mostly dry start on Tuesday (19 April).
But have your raincoats or umbrellas handy, as scattered showers will develop through the morning. They could become slow-moving and heavy, with a chance of hail and thunder by the afternoon in some areas of the north west.

Wednesday will feel drier and warmer, with periods of sunshine and only very isolated showers forecast. Thursday and Friday will be mostly dry but will become somewhat cloudier, with cool easterly winds developing.
