Greater Manchester weather forecast as weather warnings set to stay in place for further THREE days
Warnings are in place across Greater Manchester as strong winds and heavy rain is set to continue to batter the region in the aftermath of Storm Isha.
There was major disruption across the UK on Sunday evening (January 21) as 90mph winds hit causing travel chaos and leaving many woithout power. A number of trains and flights were cancelled or diverted, and Electricity North West said they experienced 'widespread damage' across their network.
Strong winds remain on Monday morning (January 22) as the storm continues to hit, with rail bosses warning of further disruption. A yellow wind warning remains in place across the country until Wednesday.

Forecasters are warning people to expect blustery showers to start Monday, with these being heaviest in the north and west as Storm Isha moves away from the UK. Greater Manchester will see a windy and chilly day wih highs of 8C, according to the Met Office. It is set to be brighter than yesterday with sunny spells and occasional brief blustery showers.
Moving into Tuesday, forecasters say the region will 'quickly' turn wet and windy, although it will be warmer with highs of 13C. It is set to be very windy by the evening with gales in places, but looks to be a milder night.
Wednesday is set to be brighter and less windy, although a yellow weather warning for wind remains in place across the UK. Greater Manchester should see highs of 10C, with sunny spells throughout the day.
