Greater Manchester home on market for £80,000 is getting attention for all the wrong reasons

A house that is up for sale in Greater Manchester has gone viral on Twitter for all the wrong reasons. The two-bed terraced home is listed for sale in Ince, Wigan, one of the region's cheapest areas, with a bargain price of £80,000 - but that's not why it has attracted so much attention.

After the listing went live on property site Zoopla on August 24, house hunters couldn't believe what was pictured inside the home. The previous owners had clearly forgotten to clean up and remove any of their belongings before putting their house on the market.

The interior pictures left many people believing the property had previously been used as a cannabis farm thanks to two rooms being covered with green plants, pipes, fans and a garden hose linked up to the bathroom sink.

A few eagle-eyed Zoopla users quickly took to Twitter to share their discovery of the Wigan home which is set to be sold via an online auction with a buy-it-now option also available.

Tweeting the pictures, @TBiermann_ joked: "House search is going well.. absolute bargain, just in need of refurbishment #ince."

In response to the tweet, which has now racked up 11,800 likes, @li4mlufc commented: "Surely a letting agent hasn’t posted this???."

Soon after the photos were reportedly removed from the listing on both Zoopla and Rightmove.

The Zoopla listing now gives its users the option to 'request more images' with a description that reads: "Situated off Manchester Road and just off Belle Green Lane within close proximity of all local amenities lies this Two Bedroom Palisade Fronted Terrace Property.
