Greater Manchester man, 50, in court accused of assaulting police officers on holiday park

A Greater Manchester man has appeared in court accused of assaulting three police officers at a holiday park. Paul Livesey, aged 50, appeared at Blackpool Magistrates' Court on Monday (September 5).

It follows an alleged incident at a holiday park in Lancaster at around 9.50pm last Friday, September 2. Mr Livesey, from Tameside, has been charged with three counts of assault by beating an emergency worker.

The charges involve three different police officers who Mr Livesey is alleged to have assaulted. Mr Livesey pleaded not guilty to all three counts in court on Monday.

He has been remanded on conditional bail ahead of his next court appearance on Wednesday, November 23. Mr Livesey, of Moorfield Avenue, Denton, is due to appear at Burnley Magistrates Court for trial on that date.

In a statement released this morning (Wednesday), Lancashire Police confirmed three of its officers attended the incident at a Lancaster holiday park last Friday evening. The force said it had been called out to reports of a public order incident and a man was arrested at the scene.
