Gowran Park cancels card after morning inspection
Gowran Park has been forced to cancel their Wednesday card following a morning inspection.
The track has been deemed unfit for racing and the seven-race Flat fixture scheduled for today has been cancelled.
Paddy Graffin, IHRB Clerk of the Course at Gowran Park said: "Following a total of 15mm of rain yesterday, the track at Gowran Park is now unfit for racing. Despite having a fresh racing line, the ground has just had too much rain and the track is unfit for flat racing.
"Unfortunately, the heavy showers yesterday brought us to 30mm of rain since declarations with in the region of 40mm of rain since entries closed last Thursday. This has left us with no choice but to cancel the fixture scheduled for today."
