Parklife 2024: The quickest and easiest way to walk from Heaton Park to Manchester city centre

Parklife 2024 takes place at Heaton Park this weekend and will feature show-stopping performances from the likes of Doja Cat, Kaytranada, and Disclosure.

The ever-popular music festival, which runs from June 8 to 9, will see thousands of people flock to the park in their best outfits (bucket hats included, obviously) for good music and good vibes.

Forming part of the festival’s line-up this year across a whopping seven stages, there will also be performances from Sugababes, Rudimental, CamelPhat, Anne-Marie and Peggy Gou.

Most people will be travelling to and from the festival via the city centre, with a number of public transport options available throughout the weekend. But those who haven’t already tired themselves out from all the dancing might fancy taking the four-mile walk home instead.

And it might even turn out to be a quicker and more efficient option - depending on how busy the queues for buses and trams end up being if you’re leaving at the same time as everyone else.

With that in mind, we’ve looked at the quickest and easiest way of getting from Heaton Park to Victoria train station after the festival. It’s always recommended to walk with someone else, and use well-lit areas to get around.

There will be signposts along the way to also help ensure you are heading in the right direction. Google Maps suggests that it will take you around one hour and 15 minutes to make the 3.8 mile walk from Heaton Park to Victoria Station.
