Dublin and Mayo to do battle at Dr Hyde Park as venues confirmed for final games

Dublin and Mayo will clash at Dr Hyde Park after the GAA confirmed the neutral venues for the final round of the All-Ireland Football Championship group phase.

The two footballing heavyweights have clashed at Croke Park on numerous times over the last decade as well as in McHale Park, but will face off in Roscommon on this occasion on Sunday, 16 June with a 3.45pm throw-in.

Part of a double-bill live on RTÉ2, it will be preceded by the clash of Galway and Armagh at Markievicz Park, with a 1.45pm throw-in.

There are two other fixtures set for the Sunday, with Kerry travelling to Portlaoise to take on Louth, while elsewhere in Group 4, Kingspan Breffni is the venue for the clash of Monaghan and Meath. Both games throw-in at 3pm, with Monaghan and Meath available on GAAGO.

The other final round fixtures in the group stage will take place on Saturday, 15 June.

Confidence-hit Derry will travel to Newry to take on Westmeath in Group 1 looking to avoid a fourth successive championship defeat. It's a 7pm throw-in at Pairc Esler, with the game live on GAAGO.

In Group 2, Roscommon and Cavan will meet at Glennon Bros Pearse Park (5pm) where the prize on offer for the winner is a preliminary quarter-final.

In Group 3, Castlebar is the venue for the meeting of Donegal and Clare (3pm).

Cork and Tyrone will meet in the other game at 3pm on GAAGO, but a venue has yet to be decided as it will be played as part of a double-header with the hurling preliminary quarter-final between Joe McDonagh winners Offaly and Cork.

The game will either take place at Glenisk O’Connor Park or Laois Hire O’Moore Park in Portlaoise.
