Gotham Knights: Is the game linked to upcoming Gotham Knights TV show?

The new Gotham Knights game is not connected to the new Gotham Knights television show, the developers of the former have confirmed.

There has been some confusion over whether the two titles are connected to one another, due to them sharing the same names.

Gotham Knights the game is coming out towards the end of 2022, while the television show will begin airing in 2023, and that has led many to speculate that they are likely to be connected in some way.

The two even have similar plots, with a band of superheroes from the Batman universe coming together after the Caped Crusader is killed, but the official Gotham Knights Twitter account has now cleared up any confusion.

As per Kotaku, the tweet read: “Message from the Belfry: the Gotham Knights game and the upcoming TV show of the same name are separate projects with no connection to one another. We can’t wait for you to experience the action of our Gotham Knights soon.”

The website has also outlined a variety of the differences between the two projects.

The game is based on the Gotham Knights comics, with the kids who are banding together being former proteges of Batman, such as Nightwing and Batgirl.

The show is not based on the comics, at all, though, and has a much different outlook: It features Batman’s adopted son teaming with the children of Batman’s enemies.

That’s very different, with the show set to release on The CW, and the game has the advantage of coming out first and attempting to set the standard for the Gotham Knights name.
