BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Gorka Marquez says 'they missed me' as he delights fans with double reunion

Strictly Come Dancing star Gorka Marquez has told fans that his co-stars 'missed him' as he delighted them with a double reunion. The dancer got his New Year off to a smiling start as he was reunited with fellow dancer Karen Hauer and former dance partner Helen Skelton.

The two women had had a busy morning on BBC One show Morning Live where Helen is now a permanent co-host and Karen was on hand for the daily 'Strictly Fitness' segment. And with the show being aired from Manchester, it was the perfect opportunity for Gorka to head out for a catch-up with the pair.

But the 33-year-old couldn't help but joke that he'd made the journey for the coffee date because Karen and Helen were 'missing him' after only seeing him a couple of weeks ago when the final of Strictly 2023 took place before Christmas.

The trio posed for smiling selfies, despite the soggy northern weather, which Gorka then shared with his Instagram followers. Captioning the post, he wrote: "Only just over 2 weeks since they last saw me and already missed me…so I had to go for a coffee with them @karenhauer @helenskelton #friendship."

Fellow Strictly star Jowita Przystal simply replied: "Team," alongside two hearts while fellow dancers Nancy Xu and Carlos Gu posted love heart eyes emojis. Lauren Oakley also shared the same emojis but also typed: "All the babes."
