Gorka Marquez's emotional five-word reaction to Gemma Atkinson's warning ahead of Strictly Come Dancing

Gorka Marquez left an emotional message on his fiancée Gemma Atkinson's latest social media post as their time apart continues. The couple are no strangers to spending periods of time away from one another.

The couple met on Strictly Come Dancing in 2017, where Gorka is a professional dancer on the show and is set to return for the 2024 series this autumn. The pair have since got engaged in 2021 and are proud parents to daughter Mia, five, and son Thiago, one.

Last year, shortly after their son's arrival, Gorka had to leave the family's Greater Manchester home for the 2023 run of the BBC One dance contest. Then earlier this year, the dancer spent several weeks away from his fiancée and their two children as he toured the country with his fellow Strictly professionals.

In recent weeks, Gorka, 33, has been in rehearsals alongside his co-stars as they prepared for the new series by getting the string of pro numbers ready to be pre-recorded before they're added into the upcoming series, which marks Strictly's 20th anniversary.

It's not yet been confirmed if Gorka will have a partner for this year's series but if he does, it could mean he'll be spending more than just the weekend live shows away from home, Gemma and the couple's two children as he'll be in rehearsals with his celebrity dance partner.

But it appears Gorka is missing his family. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday (August 28), Gemma, 39, shared adorable snaps of Mia and Thiago sporting matching white tees and denim dungarees.
