Good Morning Britain star storms out of studio as Kate Garraway left to host alone

Wednesday's instalment of Good Morning Britain took a humorous turn when Adil Ray didn't seem too pleased by a joke from his co-presenter, Kate Garraway.

During the show, as they were previewing an upcoming segment on water pollution, Adil shared that the river near his home in London was also impacted. In response, Kate playfully jabbed: "The Thames? That river near you in London?"

Kate couldn't hold back her laughter while Adil, unamused, shook his head at the camera upon being the target of her jest. Acknowledging his reaction, Kate chimed in: "Sorry, I don't know what's wrong with me this morning! I've gone all giddy."

When Kate attempted to smoothly transition to the next topic, Adil, pretending to be irked by grabbing some papers and getting up. Kate quickly caught him, cautioning: "Don't you walk out! Don't you walk out."

Nevertheless, Adil continued his mock exit, walking behind the desk toward the exit as the studio music signalled an impending ad break, reports the Mirror. Left to wrap up the segment, Kate addressed the audience: "You're watching Good Morning Britain on ITV1 which may be hosted by one, you never know."

As Adil continued to walk away, Kate yelled: "Come back!" The camera began tracking him into the corridor before he spun around to head back to the studio, a broad smile on his face and laughter indicating his outburst was all in jest.

After the commercial break, Adil rejoined Kate on set, though there was a fleeting moment where she worried he might make another dramatic exit.

During a chat with entertainment correspondent Richard Arnold, Adil seemed momentarily ruffled by a comment, leading to an uncomfortable silence punctuated by his cough.
