BREAKING - Four Man City stars nominated for Ballon d'Or as major star misses out

Four Manchester City players have been nominated for the 2024 Ballon d'Or. Last year, Lionel Messi got his hands on the award ahead of Erling Haaland, who ranked second, and Kylian Mbappe, who clinched third.

After another brilliant start to the Premier League season, the Norway international will be hoping to be finally crowned the best player in the world following his nomination. Phil Foden, Ruben Dias and Rodri have also been put forward for the Ballon d'Or, although Kevin De Bruyne surprisingly missed out.

Bernardo Silva, Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk have also been omitted from the nominees list. Meanwhile, Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr and Kylian Mbappe have been put forward for the award.
