Gogglebox star Stephen Webb says 'watch out' as fans think they've figured out real reason for exit from show

Gogglebox star Stephen Webb has told fans to 'watch out' - and they think they've worked out the real reason for him quitting the show. Viewers were gutted when Stephen and his husband Daniel Lustig confirmed they would no longer be on the Channel 4 programme.

Stephen has been a staple of the show for the last 10 years - since it first began back in 2013. He originally appeared on the programme with his former partner Chris Butland-Steed, who was replaced by Stephen's mum before his now-husband Daniel.

They announced the news on Thursday (September 7) ahead of the new series beginning on Friday (September 8). The married couple took to Instagram to tell their followers about their departure.

The post read: "After careful consideration, Daniel and I have decided we will not be returning for the new series of Gogglebox. We feel the time is right to move on and explore other opportunities. We would both like to thank Channel 4 and Studio Lambert for letting us be part of this amazing, funny and heartwarming show.

"We are also extremely thankful to the cast and crew, or Gogglebox family as we call them and of course the fans, thank you for all of your love and support over the years."

Stephen has since taken to social media to issue another update, sharing a video of himself working up a serious sweat in the gym as he continues his incredible fitness journey. The hairdresser, who has recently wowed fans with his weight loss transformation, captioned the post: "Watch out Mr motivator I’ve got eyes on your gig."
