Hunt for men who burst into home, slashed someone and threw 'substance' in his face

Officers are hunting three men who burst into a man's home before slashing him and throwing a 'substance' in his face. Greater Manchester Police received reports of an aggravated burglary at a property on Cabbala Gardens, in Lowton, Wigan, at around 12.10am on Thursday (September 7).

Detectives say the trio forced their way in after asking for a watch. They threw an unknown substance into the victim's face and slashed his arm and stomach.

The man was rushed to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Enquiries are ongoing to identify the substance and the intruders. GMP is urging anyone who saw what happened to come forward.
