Gogglebox star Jane Minty gives glimpse at 'messy' real-life job as brother sweetly shows support

Gogglebox star Jane Minty has given fans a rare glimpse into her real-life job, away from the TV screen. Jane works as a chef in a commercial kitchen, when she is not filming for the hit Channel 4 show, alongside her brother Simon.

Sharing a snap of her at work, Jane also posted a cheeky message on Instagram, saying: "My job versus Simon’s! He wears shiny shoes, smart suits and looks fab. Today I got tangled up in a fight with a hand whisk and a cheese sauce!!! . Hair wash tonight!!!"

To which her brother Simon replied: "You always look fab. Even with cheese sauce in your hair." Jane was also bombarded with further compliments from her fans.

Instagram user Mary Casey commented: "And you still have a beautiful winning smile, thats what it's all about." And Trinny Uting wrote: "I think you're both hilariously funny. One of my favourites on Googlebox," followed by a heart emoji. While Belle Gurney added: "You look great. Love the way you were your hair xx."

Meanwhile, former Gogglebox star Stephen Lustig-Webb also shared some news with fans this week. The popular hairdresser, who decided not to return to the show this year, announced he will be appearing on the new series of Dancing on Ice.

Revealing the news on ITV’s Lorraine, Stephen said: "The last time I was on the ice I think I was 14, so almost 40 years ago. I have been back on the ice since just for a quick spin around, I didn’t fall over so that was a good thing.

"I’ve got a new appreciation for skating. I can see how truly difficult it is. From the comfort of my sofa I was probably a little too judgy, I didn’t realise how hard it is.”
