'Give this boy a chance' - Manchester United fans make Alejandro Garnacho Brentford demand

Manchester United fans have urged Erik ten Hag to make a selection decision on Alejandro Garnacho.

The talented United youngster was on the scoresheet on Monday as the Reds eased past National League side Halifax Town in a behind-closed-doors friendly, prompting demands for him to feature from the onset at Brentford, this weekend. Amad Diallo bagged a double while Raphael Varane and Eric Bailly got themselves onto the scoresheet.

Garnacho was a late substitute in the defeat to Brighton in their season opener as Ten Hag's side chased an equaliser. Despite turning 18 last month, the former Atletico Madrid prospect is highly rated after his scintillating performances for the youth team as they were triumphant in the FA Youth Cup last year and featured during the Reds' pre-season tour.

His performances for the U18s caught the eye of interim boss Ralf Rangnick. The German manager handed him his first appearance during the draw against Chelsea.

Marcus Rashford is among the United stars who has suffered a plummet in form but he showed glimpses of a resurgence during their pre-season outings. Against Graham Potter's side, Rashford failed to find the back of the net but forced a great save from Robert Sanchez.
