'New low' - Manchester United fans spot club's attempt to 'fool' them at Casemiro unveiling

Manchester United beat Liverpool 2-1 in the Premier League on Monday night, but for many fans the result would be secondary. Before the game, thousands of fans had marched on Old Trafford in protest of the Glazer ownership.

The marches, which were planned by United fan group The 1958, have been a constant fixture during home games since Norwich last season. They have only intensified recently with the admission by Sir Jim Ratcliffe that if the club was up for sale he would be open to buying it.

After the march, many fans went inside the ground though some stayed outside in protest and throughout the game anti-Glazer chants were sung by the crowd consistently. They were also sung during the unveiling of new signing Casemiro, as the Brazilian was brought onto the pitch before kick-off to be introduced to the match-going supporters much like his former Real Madrid teammate Raphael Varane was last season.

However, a recent video by the club has stirred some anger among the United fanbase on social media. The video shows Casemiro's unveiling, but the audio has been edited to remove the anti-Glazer chants and instead appears to have replaced it with some stock crowd noise recorded previously at Old Trafford.

This comes after posts on social media stated that stewards had taken flags off supporters which criticised the owners and many have stated that this 'censorship' is just another example of the owners trying to save face. Protests against the Glazer Family are expected to continue during United's next home game against Arsenal.
