Gillingham announce that teenager Sullivan Booth has signed his first professional contract

Gillingham have handed a professional contract to promising youngster Sullivan Booth.

The 17-year-old started the second year of his scholarship this summer but has continued to impress.

Booth made a thrilling debut on an otherwise forgettable afternoon for the club at Barnet towards the end of last season.

The Gills were thrashed 6-2 but teenager Booth played the full match and scored within 13 minutes of his debut.

He’s been back playing for the youth team this season but featured for the Gills as a substitute in the League Cup loss to Luton Town last month.

Booth said: “I am buzzing to get it over the line. It has always been a dream since I can remember and now it has finally happened.

“I am really happy.”
